Dee Hicks

My journey with Breast Implant Illness (BII) began in 2016 when I made the life-changing decision to explant after enduring significant health challenges. Since then, I’ve dedicated over a decade to advocating for women worldwide, raising awareness about the risks of breast implants and supporting those facing similar struggles.
I was honored to attend both FDA meetings in Washington, D.C., addressing Breast Implant Safety, where I spoke on behalf of thousands of women suffering from BII globally. My advocacy efforts contributed to the recall of textured implants and the FDA’s issuance of a black box warning for all breast implants—important milestones in patient safety.
My work has been featured in notable media outlets, including Inside Edition, Business Insider, and internationally in The Daily Mail. Additionally, my story has appeared in magazines like Woman’s Own Magazine in the UK, amplifying awareness about BII and empowering women to take charge of their health.
Since 2019, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Dr. Rankin in Jupiter, Florida, as his dedicated Explant Liaison. In this role, I guide women through every step of their explant journey, offering personalized support and care to help them reclaim their health and well-being. It’s been a true honor to assist thousands of women in navigating this transformative process.
